David-Hoyt (“D.H.”) Gregory
Born February 2, 1813. Died Jan 21, 1890, age 76.
Married Mary Adams, Nov 27, 1841. They had four children.
Merchant/ Town Officer:
He was employed in the store of Blake and Allen, succeeding to the business in 1841, and was for fifty years senior of the firm of D.H. Gregory and Co. He served thirty-six consecutive years as town clerk, and was present at every town meeting during his term of office. He was postmaster from 1866 to 1885, was for thirty-three years a Justice of the Peace, and served as Town Treasurer, 1857-8.
