2012 Marks 100 Years' of Labor Day Tennis

To many of us, Princeton, with its unique history and location, is a very special community in which to live and visit. One segment of our towns' history has centered around the annually scheduled Labor Day Weekend Chandler Bullock Tennis Tournament.

This section of the PHS website is meant to share the history of a little of what makes Princeton unique: Tennis. The hope is that this beginning will stimulate others to provide additional facts, pictures, corrections, and/or anecdotes which can then be added to this section.

*** Much of the material contained within these pages was gleaned from past bulletins written by Ted Densmore or Chandler Bullock.

*** Many thanks to member of the Labor Day Committee (past and present) for their help, contributions, and suggestions. Also, sprinkled throughout in bold italics are some of my favorite quotes by them and others.
